Synopsis

Fallen humanity holds others responsible for anything that goes wrong. When we do something wrong, we so easily and quickly seek someone or something to blame for our actions. We are never prepared to accept responsibility for what we have done or what we have failed to do. So we easily identify weaknesses or shortcomings of others while we conveniently remain blind to our own shortcomings.

In this sermon, Pastor Isaac Makashinyi traces the art of playing the blame game back to Adam and Eve, and how we who are their descendants have continued to perfect the art in our sinful attempts to wiggle our way out of personal responsibility for our actions.

Why do we rush to excuses and blame others for our sins? How then can we be delivered from this deadly blame game? Listen to the sermon to find out the answers to these questions and more. An important point to note, however, is that neither situations nor circumstances, nor people around us cause us to sin (See James 1:13-15).
