Reflection — October 24 2023

We are by nature a people that easily forget. So, it is not surprising that the children of Israel quickly forgot the whips and lashes of their Egyptian taskmasters and wanted to go back to Egypt, despite the rich promises of God to them. When we get carried away with present despair and a sense of hopelessness, we take God's gift of freedom for granted and wish to exchange it for anything of lesser rank or value. (Numbers 14:1-4)
