Reflection — October 18 2023

When the Gospel made inroads into the ancient world steeped in darkness, the confrontation was revolutionary. A supernatural power worked to reverse the wreckage that sin had made of this world. At the centre of that incursion into Satan's territory were the prayers of the early church. Prayer opens doors to the dynamic power that shakes and shatters the imposing and impenetrable wall of unbelief, forcing it to yield ground to the power of the Gospel. (Acts 4:31)
