Reflection — June 11, 2022
It's unbelievable that a prophet so godly, humble, modest and charitable had a servant so ungodly, covetous, greedy, opportunistic and deceitful. Poor Gehazi — He was the total contrast of his master Elisha. The Judas Iscariot of the Old Testament. The wealth of Naaman which his master refused should not go back to Syria without him benefiting from it at any cost. The faith of his master never really sank deep into his heart. O what ruin and harm covetousness and the love of money can inflict on us! (2 Kings 5:15-27)
