Reflection — May 09 2022
The detailed battle plan that the God gave to Joshua to fight Jericho involved the ark of the covenant, priests, trumpets, people and the shout of victory! There was no talk of soldiers, swords or spears. There was no talk of sieges, of strategies or of secret weapons. This must have sounded strange to any soldier's ears. From a human and military standpoint, it makes no sense yet it is what God said they needed to do, Gods strange plans don't call for logical analysis, they call for strong faith. (Joshua 6:1-7)
