Reflection — May 05 2021

When God said, "let there be light," (Gen. 1:3), His word was enough to make this happen. God's command did not galvanize already-existent light-makers into the action that will implement the divine command. Rather, the previously nonexistent light miraculously leapt into being. God's speech is not only life-giving, but also a sign of authority that gives identity and assurance of definitive existence to what was previously none-existent. Salvation is coming to know and confessing God as creator of our life in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 4:6)
