“ … whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” — Philippians 4:8
When God said, "let there be light," (Gen. 1:3), His word was enough to make this happen. God's command did not galvanize already-existent light-makers into the action that will implement the divine command. Rather, the previously nonexistent light miraculously leapt into being. God's speech is not only life-giving, but also a sign of authority that gives identity and assurance of definitive existence to what was previously none-existent. Salvation is coming to know and confessing God as creator of our life in Christ Jesus (2 Cor. 4:6)
