The death of Judas shows us how a person who is overwhelmed with guilt and grief can be so hardened and self-centered as to hang himself rather than repent of his sin. Suicide is the coward's way out of the mess of His own making. It is the way of the person who cares more about himself than about those he leaves behind to grieve his irresponsible act. (Matthew 27:3-5)
