Daily Reflection — January 22 2021
If Jacob's barns had been well stocked with food, Joseph's brothers would never have made that long trip to Egypt, and thus would not have found the brother they betrayed and experienced his get provision for them. And the gospel is simply this - unless god shows us the absolute emptiness of the barns of our own self -made righteousness, we would never admit our need and come humbly to Him who is the Bread of Life. (Genesis 42:1-3).
