Daily Reflection —December 16 2020
Parents, we ought to beware of the folly of favoritism towards any of our children. All of our children are unique gifts from God, and must be cherished equally. By treating Joseph preferentially, Jacob was only casting a dark, ominous and destructive shadow over his beloved son's life, and the hatred and fury from Joseph's brothers could only get worse until it exploded. (Genesis 37).
