Daily Reflection — November 19 2020
He was a middle-aged, wealthy, humble, godly and single. Was he divorced? Was he widowed? Very unlikely. Perhaps there were marriage proposals which were turned down, and he remained single. Then cam a principled woman, a woman of character, a widow who had been married for ten years. A moabitess. They fell in love, and providence gave them an honoured place in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's Boaz and Ruth. Marriage is truly made in heaven.
