God gives numerous opportunities to sinners to turn to Him, but please don't assume that He obligates Himself to do so indefinitely. The case of Cain is a sobering one. Pursued by God with serious warnings (Gen. 4:6-7), Cain arrogantly threw the opportunity back in the face of God, and cut himself off the mercy of God.
