Daily Reflection — May 21 2020
When we read of God's punishment on Adam, we tend to focus on his toil and sweat on the cursed ground, but forget that God not only lets him live but implicitly promises that he will continue to feed him. God's promise of ongoing nourishment is not a right that Adam naturally had. It was God's kind provision even before Adam and Eve rebelled, but now it is far more than kind. It is grace (Genesis 3:17-19)
