Daily Reflection — May 11 2020
The first time that the words "father" and "mother" are mentioned in the Bible, it is in the context of marriage, pointing to the time when a child (man) leaves home and cleaves to his wife (Genesis 2:24). It's as if God is reminding fathers and mothers that it is their responsibility to prepare their children for life after they leave the comfort of the domestic nest. Enjoy and nurture your children while you have them because soon, they will fly away from the nest.
