A destructive flood begins with but a tiny leak in the dam. A wise man seeks that leak, not for the trickle of water it is at the time, but for the raging torrent it will soon become and then flees from it. And that's how a strife can be avoided, abandon it before it breaks into a flood. (Proverbs 17:14).
