Daily Reflection — February 25 2020
The Joseph narrative is one of the gripping examples of the mysterious outworking of the sovereignty of God and man's responsibility (Genesis 37-50). The betrayal of the best-loved son of their father, which led to his enslavement, suffering, humiliation, and unjust imprisonment, became the means by which God raised him to a position of power and influence for saving of many lives. There is no act of God in providence, not matter how painful, which is meaningless and purposeless.
