The father of the prodigal son did not sit in his living room with his feet up, waiting for his errant son to come crawling home on his hands and knees. On the contrary, he ran to meet him on the road (Luke 15:20). So too God has not left us to make the journey home alone. In Christ, God comes running to meet us.
