Our postmodern culture is notoriously reluctant to accept that our ultimate identity is not derived from our biological pedigree, but from radically life-altering encounter with Christ Jesus. Try as you may, you can never reinvent yourself indefinitely without the divinely wrought spiritual reengineering from above.
