Daily Reflection — March 18 2019
As the Lord Jesus Christ hang on the cross, the hands of His father, on which He so constantly depended, seemed to withdraw. When He looked up, His father looked away. When He cried out to His father, there was a profound and devastating forsakenness. And yet, His final words were the ultimate step of faith, entrusting Himself to the Father who had forsaken Him and to the hands that had withdrawn from Him. “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” My friend, in faith, look up to God!
